Description

This course is aimed toward introducing students to the historical, literary, and theological aspects of the Book of Job. Consideration will be given to the historical interpretation of the Book of Job, as well as modern approaches to the book. Attention will also be paid to the question of human suffering and Job?s perspective on it. Moreover, we will contemplate the myriad of issues this book raises for faith and practice, as well as questions of its contemporary relevance.
