Description
The Darwinian theory of biological evolution has evoked many responses from Christians, some of them surprisingly positive. This course briefly reviews the history of these responses and explores constructive theological proposals that attempt to integrate evolutionalry perspecrtives into Christian doctrine. The course will be divided into three sections: a history of the relationship between Christianity and evolution, alternatives to Darwinian evolution (creationism and intelligent design); and constructive theological engagement on key points of Christian doctrine.
