Description
The North American ecclesial context places congregations within a religious economy dependent upon the voluntary giving of its members. While this situation cultivates opportunities for communities to steward God's gifts to participate in God's mission, it also offers perverse incentives for congregations to sever financial stewardship from congregational mission. What does stewardship have to do with congregational mission and leadership? How do economic and contextual dynam ics shape our approach to money and mission? This course explores the relationship between stewardship theology, congregational leadership, and mission.
