Description
This course is designed to review the purpose and the distinctiveness of the degree, the writing and research gu idelines, and how to best plan and prepare to set aside the time necessary to do adequate research and writing.l Included in the course will be methodologies, critical thinking, action-reflection modalities, understanding and incorporating case studies, theological improvisation and imagination, auto-ethnography, qualitative research, narrative inquiry, and writing and pastoral portfolio as part of the repertoire of what serves to strengthen the degree and entire seminar structure. Students are expected to develop a sixth sense with regard to a dynamic definition and understanding of method as part of ministerial leadership that will be reviewed from time to time throughout the doctoral program. We will address the question: What differences and practices are necessary to form a well-lived life for those in ministry?
